Lebanon County Historical Society

If you haven’t decided where to begin your trip, this is the perfect place. The Lebanon County Historical Society is the leading local authority in the community. Here, you can find lots of unique artifacts and exhibits on display. Such items include toys, military uniforms, Civil War memorabilia, and others.

There is also an onsite gift shop to visit before you leave. Unfortunately, due to its age, the building does not allow for accessibility access.

Union Canal Tunnel Park

The Union Canal Tunnel Park is both scenic and fun to explore. Here, you can take a guided tour or walk around at your leisure. This public park offers 100 acres of land, as well as the historic canal tunnel. It joined the original river canal network over two hundred years ago.

This tunnel is also a registered National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, making it a unique attraction. The park makes for a memorable afternoon with picnic tables and an outdoor pavilion.

Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick

Governor Dick mountain has always proven a popular place to hike. The Clarence Schock Memorial Park on the hill offers a peaceful and scenic stroll. The Schock family, local energy barons, purchased over 1,100 acres of the mountain. Since 1936, the land here has stayed available to the public.

Recently, 315 feet of wooden boardwalk finished construction, allowing for an in-depth walking experience.

Lebanon Valley Exposition Center & Fairgrounds

You won’t find an event as hotly anticipated in the area as the annual fair. The Lebanon Valley Exposition Center & Fairgrounds provides tons of space for vendors and visitors. Inside, you can walk through over 70,000 square feet of convention space.
